The Miami Marlins after losing last nights game to the Amazins' bounce right back and stay right on the NL East 1st Place Trail. The Marlins get a Grade A Pitching Performance from Henderson Alvarez and the Marlins Offense does just enough to put the Fish in Friday's Hardball Win Column.

Behind 6 1/3 innings of seven hit Hardball walking no one and striking out five Henderson Alavrez gets his 4th "W" of 2014 versus three defeats. The Marlins touched Mets Starter Daisuke Matsuzaka (L 5.1 IP 6 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB 4 SO)  in the 1st Inning on a Fielder's Choice to make it 1-0 Marlins. Then game would be 1-0 until the bottom of the 7th when the Fish get some much-needed insurance on an error and a Double by Adeiny Hechavarria to make the score 3-0 Marlins. Marlins Middle Man Kevin Gregg and Mike Dunn have a shaky 8th that allowed the Amazins' to score two to make it 3-2 Marlins. As Steve Cishek (Marlins Captain Save-A-Game) came into the 9th to save Alvarez' Outing and get his 17th save.

The Fish move to 37-36 which is a game out of first place in the NL East behind the Washington Nationals. The Amazins' fall to 33-41 but that is still just 5.5 games out of 1st place in the NL East as well.
