The Kansas City Royals had the right man going trying to extend that Royals Win Streak to seven and sweep the White Sox at the "Cell" in James Shields. Shields had to weather an early Pale Hose Storm but he also gets some early Run Support to beat the Chi-Sox 6-3 and get the sweep.
Shields gave up three runs in six innings on ten hits as Sox Starter Andre Rienzo didn't hold up his end for the bargain for the Sox. Eric Hosmer in the 1st inning took Rieno deep for a two-run Blast to make the score 2-0 Royals. The Pale Hose bounced right back in the bottom half of the 1st scoring on a Shields Balk to make it 2-1. Then in the 3rd K.C. Back Stop Salvador Perez the best Back Stop in the Show you never hear about takes Rienzo Yard for a Three-Run Dinger to make the score 5-1 Royals. That was plenty for Shields and K.C. as they add one more run in the 4th and the Sox add two more for a final score of 6-3.
Rienzo went six for the Pale Hose allowing all six run on six hits as he walked four and those two Bombs were also added to his Tab. Perez led the Royals going 2 for 3 with Three Ribbies and a run. Adam Eaton led the Pale Hose going 3 for 4 scoring a run. Royals leave the South Side with a Sweep, 36-32 W-L, and a 1.5 games behind the AL Central leading Motor City Kitties. The Pale Hose fall to 33-37 and 5.5 back of first.
