Behind a Jeff Samardzija seven inning five hit and allowing two-run Pitching on the Bump the Cubbies beat the NL East leading or use to be leading Miami Marlins again. It was Cubs OF Junior Lake who took Marlins Pitching Deep x 2 (both Solo Shots) and an Emilio Bonafacio Two-Run Bomb in Inning Three that put the Fighting Fish 305 in the "L" Column. Fish Starter Randy Wolf goes
Marlins Star OF Giancarlo Stanton left the Lumber Company back in the 305 and Tampa/St. Pete as he goes 1 for 4 with a run but has missed on plenty of opportunities. Marlins back to back Top Farm Prospect Chris Yelich went 2 for 4 with a run scored taking Samardzija deep in the 3rd for a Solo Shot.
The Cubbies move to 25-34 with the Fish 305 dropping to 32-30...
