The Chicago White Sox came into their Three-Game Set with the NL West San Diego Padres 28-27 and Rawlings Stitched One away from the 1st place Detroit Tigers. The 'Dres came in more than a week away from 1st place chasing the NL West leading Gigantes. San Diego was looking for the sweep having taken the first two games at the cell but Sox Ace Chris Sale and "Paulie" Konerko had something to say about that.

Behind a two-hit allowing one run Gem from Pale Hose All-Star Sale and Solo Bombs from "Paulie" and Tyler Flowers the Sox avoid the sweep and beat the 'Dres 4-1. Konerko hit his in the 3rd giving the Sox a 1-0 lead and Flowers broke up a 1-1 tied in the 5th  with a Solo Blast of his own. 'Dres Star Hot Corner Chase Headley took Sale deep in the 5th for the only 'Dres run.

San Diego Starter Eric Stalts takes the Loss going six allowing five hits and four runs while he struck out six with both Bombs on his Tab. The Sox move to 29-28 just five games back of the Tigers for 1st in the AL Central. The 'Dres fall to 26-31 and that is ten games back of the Gigantes in the NL West.

Sale coming off the D.L. just two starts ago looks like his old self and that is sobering news for the Pale Hose ass we hit June Hardball!
