The Odds on favorite to win the World Cup is the host Country Brasil with stiff Company with the likes of Spain, England, France, Germany, and the Netherlands among others. The best if the best will be on display as we run down Round 1 best Match Ups.

Thursday June 12th, 2014 at 4pm ET on ESPN
Brasil vs Croatia 

Brasil is loaded with Neymar Jr., Leandro, Ronaldhino, and Ramirez among others. The Croats will have their feet full in this one as they kickoff the 2014 World Cup playing the Home Team....yikes!

Friday June 13th, 2014 at 3pm ET on ESPN 
Spain vs Netherlands   

This match features two of the top 5 teams in the World as the Dutch features players like Van Persie and Arjen Robben. Spain counters with the best Team arguably in the World as this should be the best Match at least on paper.

Saturday June 14th, 2014 at 6pm ET on ESPN
England vs Italy 

Then English is full of aging players with some youth ready to take Center Stages as Wayne Rooney leads. The Italians are led by Andrea Pirlo and Mario Ballotelli and they are dangerous as this match should be worth the price of admission.

Sunday June 15th at 3pm ET on ABC
France vs Honduras

The French do not have Thierry Henry or Zinedine Zidane but watch out for the new breed of Paul Pogba and Franc Ribery among others.

Argentina vs Bosnia-Herzegovina 

Yes Argentina has Lionel Messi but they have others like Sergio Aguero and Angel de Maria as they have to be big as well if the Argentinians are to lift the Cup.

Monday June 16th at 12pm ET on ESPN
Germany vs Portugal 

Two of the Top 10 Teams in the World and like the England vs Italy Match Up lookout as these are two powerhouses squaring off in Game 1. The Germans have Lucas Podolski and the Portugese are led by of course Christiano Ronaldo arguably the World's Best Futbol Player!  

Ghana vs U.S.A. 

Team USA always gets Ghana and their Game 1 2014 Match Up will be no different as the Americans have no Landon Donovan  and we will see how that works out for them.
