We are officially out of the NBA west and into the East talking the NBA Southeast division. A division dominated by the Miami Heat and now all of that has shifted to the Nations capital, back to Hive Drive, and even the Highlight Factory 404.

The Orlando Magic grabbed rook Aaron Gordon of Archbishop Mitty near the San Jose CA area by way of the U of A Cats of the Pac 12 and he is oozing with ability. Also Elfriid Payton remember him another Magic 2014 lottery pick and he ha major combo guard game. The Magic though will go as far as how the vets (Ben Gordon, Luke Ridour, and Channing Frye to name a few) infuse with that awesome-looking youth movement led by Victor Oladipo, Mo Harkless, Nikola Vucevic, and Tobias Harris.

I have them ending in the southeast basement which means absolutely nothing as on paper they have the potential to stir things up in the southeast division.

#MouseTownMAGIC 2014-15 Vitals

Franchise Player (s): Victor Oladipo, Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon,

Building Blocks: Mo Harkless, Tobias Harris, Elfriid Payton, Andrew Nicholson

Top International Drive Chaperones (Magic Top Rookies): Aaron Gordon/Elfriid Payton

Top Free Agent: Channing Frye

Sleeper Player (s): Evan Fournier as he came over in the Arron Affalo deal and he can stretch the floor and has size enough to play the SF. But watch that rook Payton whose length and Basketball IQ is off the charts.

Trade Piece (s): If the youngsters come out the gate high-flying you might put Ben Gordon, Willie Green, and Kyle O'Quinn on there for the taking. 25 years of age and under the Magic looks like AP All-American college Basketball team.

#MouseTownMAGIC 2014-15 Outlook 5th in the Southeast...maybe!

The smartest move then Magic made was getting PG Luke Ridnour to keep Victor Oladipo from playing the point. I am still not convinced Oladipo is a PG and does he shoot it enough to play the SG? Yes he plays lock down "D" but keep him away from the Point please!

Vets Green and Ben Gordon will man the sniper but look for rook Payton along with Mo Harkless and Evan Fournier to get major minutes. Another rook if he makes it is Iowa Hawkeye's Bloodline Roy Devyn Marble who can play.

Current NBA lead official Danny Crawfrod's son Drew Crawford is on the roster but it will be tough sledding for him to make it. He can play though as he starred at Naperville, IL Central HS that same HS that produced Candace Parker and her older brother former NBA lottery pick Anthony Parker as well as current Ravens TE Owen Daniels.

The Wing is where it is at with the rook Aaron Gordon filling up the stat sheet. He along with super-talented Tobias Harris (2010 McDonald's All-American) from Dix Hills, NY by way of Rocky Top Tennessee will be a nice duo at SF.

Nikola Vucevic is a monster and if the Philadelphia 76ers could have one player back in the last five years he would be it running away. Channing Frye will help keep the painted area workable with his touch shooting from nearby Winter Park, FL. Former lottery pick Andrew Nicholson along with Kyle O'Quinn rounds out the front.

Can the Magic get at least to that #3 slot in the southeast? The talent is there but if they lose Vucevic for any length of time lookout! The new southeast is looking top-heavy with not much separating the Magic from the Wiz Kids D.C., Heat, Hornets, or Hawks.
