The Minnesota Twins have quietly stayed afloat and now they move within two games of being at the .500 mark. The Twins get an outstanding performance from Ex-Yankee Hurler Phil Hughes as he goes seven shutout innings taming that potent AL Leading Blue Birds Offense.

Hughes had plenty of Run Support as LF Josh Willingham took 'Jays Starter Marcus Stroman deep for a two-run Bomb to make it 2-0 in the 1st. The Twinkies then tacked on one in the 6th and three in the 7th as they led 5-0 after seven. Stroman went six allowing three runs on nine hits striking out four and that Bomb from Willingham on his Tab. 'Jays two runs came on a Jose Bautista two-bagger
and a Dioner Navarro single.

The Twinkies move to 31-33 and that is good 5th place in the Central but just four game back of the Central leading Motor City Kitties and imagine that! The Blue Birds fall to 39-28 as they lead the East by five games over both the O's and Yankees.
