Behind a "Kid Felix" Hernandez Outing of eight hits and two runs in seven innings while striking out eight with no free passes the Seattle Mariners finally erupted on the Bronx Bombers late. With the M's and Yanks deadlocked at 2-2 heading onto the seventh the M's score four runs on two singles to push the score up to 6-2 Mariners. Kid Felix held down the seventh as the Yankees scored zero in that frame. Then the M's hung another crooked number four in the 8th behind a Solo Blast from Michael Saunders and Three-Run Bomb from Kyle Seager scoring both Robbie Cano and Justin Smoak to push the score to 10-2.

The Yanks Starter David Phelps take thew loss as he only had allowed two runs leading up to the seventh.
