The Atlanta Falcons know for 2014 they need two Defensive Cornerstones back and healthy in order for the "D" to head south. Those two Players DE Kroy Biermann and LB Sean Weatherspoon were on course to make that transition until today.
Through numerous media outlets it has been reported that during a drill with Doctors and Trainers Backer Weatherspoon suffered an Season-ending Torn Achilles Tendon that will require immediate surgery. "Spoon" was going to be a vital part of the 2014 Falcons "D" as he missed some of 2013 with a Knee Injury as those Injuries are starting to pile up on Key Personnel in the NFL for 2014.
As we go to press LB Joplo Bartu is #2 on the Falcons Depth Chart as 2014 5th round selection Marquis Spruill of Syracuse will challenge Bartu for that starting job. Biermann is penciled in at OLB as he continues to get his Ruptured Achilles Injury from Week 1 in 2013 ready for 2014.
