Behind a seven inning seven hit shutout by Redbirds Ace Adam Wainright the Cards beat the Rays 1-0. Rays Starter Jake Odorizzi was on his A-Game as well going 7 1/3 innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out five.

The Redbirds Offense was supplied by OF Matt Holliday as he took a n 6th inning offering from Odorizzi and deposited into the Seats for a Solo Shot and the only run of the night.  The Cards had jut three hits on the night with the Rays managing to collect eight as they left 20 on the pond. Both James Loney and Kevin Kiermaier had multiple hits for the Rays Offense.

Redbirds Captain Save-A-Game Trevor Rosenthal gets his 17th save against 21 chances. The Redbirds move to 34-31 four games back of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Tampa Bay Rays fall to 24-43 and that is back to the dark days for the Rays.
