The 2014 Chicago White Sox might not win the AL Central but they are giving Chi-Sox Nation something to look forward to all summer long. The Pale Hose hang on to beta the Tigers on the South Side and don't look now the Sox are just 3.5 games back of the AL Central leading Tigers.
It was new Pale Hose Star and Cuban Jose Abreu who has ignited Sox Hardball for 2014 as he goes Two-Run Homer in a Three-Run Sox inning. That made the score 5-2 when Victor Martinez took Sox Starter Hector Noesi deep for a Two-Run Bomb to make it 5-4 Sox. The South Siders then get insurance on a Adam Eaton run-scoring single. Tigers get one more in the 9th but Sox Captain Save-A-Game Ronald Bellasario gets his 6th Save.
Sox Noesi goes 5 2/3 innings giving up seven hits and allowing four runs but gets the win. The Tigers Rick Porcello was knocked around as he gets hit six runs on nine hits through five innings. This is a Four-Piece as the Six look to do even more damage before the Tigers exit Chi-City.
Note: Sox 2-3-4 Hitters in Beckham, Gillaspie, and Abreu combined to go 7 for 13 with 5 RBIs, HR, and Three Run sscored.
