The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are trying to get back in the race and they must win all head to head s vs the two teams they are chasing in the Athletics and Rangers. The Halos sis win two of three but trying for the sweep Sunday they ran into the Sir Charles Version in the SHow on the Bump in A's Ace RHP Bartolo Colon.

Colon goes complete job as the A's avoid the sweep and beat the Halos 6-0. Colon, with his burly physique, went nine innings allowing four hits striking out five and giving one free pass. The A's had more than enough offense as they put crooked numbers up in 3rd, 5th, and 6th inning as A's second baseman Eric Sogard goes 2-run Big Fly in the 3rd to get the Athletics on the board. With the win the A's are 2 1/2 up on the Rangers as they try to avoid the sweep at home versus the O's. The Halos instead of moving to eight back stay at ten games back as they came in the series eleven back of the Athletics.

The A's now will head to H-Town to play the basement-dwelling 'Stros. The Halos will host the Twinkies of the 10K Lakes.
