The Chicago Sky are smack dab in the middle of uncharted water as they beat the NY Liberty on Saturday Night 80-69. Sky Rook Star Elena Dele Donne's game went North for the first time in her career as she only netted 7 points but took eight shots and was 2 of 8. In previous years when the Sky's best player doesn't play well that meant an "L" but this is the New Sky the WNBA East Conference leading Chicago Sky that is more than just one monster.

The Sky down 42-39 at the break came out swinging in the 2nd half  holding the Liberty to 27 points combined after giving up 42 in the 1st half. Sky All-Star Center Sylvia Fowles led the Sky Attack with 15 points and thirteen boards as she continues to control the point and the glass for the Sky. Delle Donne was the only Sky Player not in double figures as reserve forward Tamera Young came off the bench with a team-high 17 points. The Liberty was led by All-Star PG and Chicago Marshall Star Cappie Pondexter's game-high 22 points.

The Sky held the Liberty under 37% from the field and blocked thirteen oranges. The Sky move to 12-4 while the Liberty fall to 6-10. Next up for the New Beast in the East #SKYgang...the Washington Mystics on Wednesday July 24.
