The Texas Rangers came in six games back of Oakland A's in the west and they are in a delicate situation as the A's could blow this thing wide-open. Well the Rangers Newly-acquired RHP Matt Garza of the North Siders pitched well except in the 5th inning where he gave the Halos three runs. Garza went seven innings giving up three runs on five hits while striking out six. He left the game on the hook as the loser as the Halos were up 3-1 after seven.

Enter Halos Captain-Save-A-Game Ernesto Frieri who was coming in 25/27 saves and a 3-2 lead. First man he faces was Rangers DH A.J. Pierzynski obviously looking for something he could handle for a souvenir and he got it....3-3 an in the Seats. Two outs later with the score tied up and everyone thinking Extras ex-Cubs Back Stop Geovany Soto goes walk-off job and the "Halos Misery has no Company" continues. Imagine that the Halos get beat by a former North Sider and South Sider in the ninth. The Rangers move a 1/2 game up to 5 1/2 back as the Halos need the Coast Guard to get back into the race some 13 1/2 out and 4th in the AL West behind the M's. Garza is off the hook for the loss as Ranger reliever Jason Frasor gets the "W". Halos mess up a more than solid outing from Ace RHP Jered Weaver.

Can a trio of Japanese Star Yu "I will Survive" Darvish, Derek Holland, and Matt Garza get hot and carry the Rangers to an AL West Crown?
