The Boston Red Sox have run into the hottest thing east of the Mississippi in the Tampa Bay Rays and the only thing that might slow this current run down is the Rays themselves.

Behind a three-run 3rd Inning the Rays dominate on their way to a decisive 5-1 win as the Red Sox just do not have the starting pitching right now to match up with the Rays. Ben Zorbrist, Wil Myers, and James Loney all go multi-hit as the Rays Offense has been good enough to win games like the pitching.

Rays LHP David Price appears to be far removed from his DL Stint as the Carmines get vintage Price tonight. He went nine innings allowing five hits and a run including a Long Ball to Red Sox First Baseman Mike Napoli. Price also struck out four Red Sox Hitters and issuing not one free pass. Red Sox Starter Felix Doubront get tagged with the "L" as he goes 6 2/3 allowing three runs on six hits walking two and striking out five. A costly third frame doomed his outing and the Red Sox couldn't solve Price.

The Rays now will throw Hellickson vs Lackey on Thursday Night and 1st place is up for grabs one more time in the AL East before the Rays leave town.
