Yes they went out against eventual Big Bowl Champion Purple Browns of Charm City. That QB that went #1 overall answered all the questions as he is dynamic and led the Colts a few game-winning drives. Then there is 2012 Pick at Wide out in T.Y. "Smurf Village" Hilton aka Quicks Smurf surprising everyone on Sunday but the Colts. Is Vick Ballard the answer as ex-interim Lead Man Bruce Arians called him a poor man's Edgerrin James and I wouldn't even go that far. They have not one but two of the best young tight ends in football in Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen. Colts pick up Darius Heyward-Bey and remember is infamous fastest 40 time at the combine a few combines ago. Did that translate to Sunday Tackle Football yet well if it did he would still be playing home games in the Black Hole.

The Defense is where there are more than a few question marks. Imagine this no D-End in Dwight Freeney who they tried to put that 3-4 on him and make him into sometimes playing in space. Cannot teach and old dawg with little explosion left new schemes. They still have Robert "from the Hill...AAMU Fighting Bulldogs" Mathis running off the end and in space as he is 3-4 or 4-3. How fast will 2012 FSU Nole All-American DE/OLB Bjoern Werner come around? That back end maybe the strength which is not good with All-Pro Safety Antoine Bethea. They pick up LaRon "Checks to League Office" Landry to play opposite of Bethea. I like ex-Aqua Boyz 305 Island and Vernon Davis mini-me Vontae Davis (Vernon's younger brother). Can the Colts put all those ingredients together for a perfect AFC South winning Storm?

Key Players

Offense

QB A. Luck (pictured right)
RB Ballard/Brown/Bradshaw (2013 FA Pick Up G-Men)
TE Fleener/Allen
WR Wayne
WR TY Hilton
LT Castonzo

Defense

OLB Mathis (pictured right #98)
DT Ricky Jean-Francois (2013 FA Pick Up 49ers)
OLB Erik Walden (2013 FA Pick Up Packers)
OLB Pat Angerer
CB V. Davis
SS L. Landry
FS Bethea

Bradshaw might help them in the run game if he can get on the field. That O-Line did a fairly decent job protecting Luck in year one. Wayne is the player teams game plan for as he went Reggie "W" circa the "U" on the League in 2012.

Defensively they add Jean-Francois of the 49ers up front and Walden of the Packers at Backer and they needed immediate help on that side of the pigskin. Noles and 2013 Top Pick OLB Bjoern Werner is a monster and can he be as good as advertised in year one? He will learn from one of the best in Robert Mathis and that should pay dividends for him.

Key 2013 Schedule Dates

Sep 22 @ 49ers
Oct 6 vs Seahawks
Oct 20 Broncos
Nov 3 @ Texans
Nov 10 vs Rams
Nov 24 @ Cards
Dec 8 @ Bengals
Dec 15 vs Texans
Dec 22 @ Chiefs

The Schedule isn't all that bad as both the Titans and Jags should be slam dunks at least from the look on paper. That heavy dose of NFC West isn't good for the faint at heart as the Rams and Cards should be no pushover as well especially the Rams.

Projected 2nd in AFC South 9-7...concerned about that Defense...big time!
