The Detroit Tigers were sure glad to see their Super Star back inn the line up but no one was more happier than 14 game-winner and Tigers RHP Max Scherzer who dominated the Phils after getting huge run support early.

"Mad Max beyond Comerica" (commonly referred to at bluedude sportstalk by) went just six innings allowing one hit and striking out seven Phillies. When Scherzer left in the 6th it was already 10-0 as the 'Phils couldn't  hit anything. Tiger Skip Jim Leyland knowing Mad Max was going to get the win allowed him to go six then pulled him to save that Arm and Innings.

The Offense was provided by that whole Tigers Line-up but it was Miggy Cabrera's first game back. The Tigers Hot Corner went 2 for 3 with 3 Ribbies and scored 2-runs and included in that Offensive Show was his first A.B. where he took 'Phils Starter Raul Valdes "Yard" for #32 on the Year. O's first baseman Chris Davis has yet to hit a Bomb after All-Star Break and he needs to pack it in because here comes "Miggy of the D".

Both Torii Hunter (3 for 4 w/ 2 runs scored and an RBI) and Victor Martinez (3 for 4 w/2 RBI and a run scored) helped Miggy and played a huge hand into the Tigers Massacre of the 'Phils.

As we go to press the Tigers are three games ahead of the Tribe in the Central. The Phils are ten back and should be very busy the next few days fielding calls at the MLB Trade Deadline as everyone wants LHP Cliff Lee.
