The Chicago Sky was cruising in the Nation's Capital until the cell phone rang at the Verizon Center. Behind a 47-34 2nd half from the Mystics they dominate the game from the break on and beat the Sky 82-78. It was Mystics PG Ivory Latta (UNC Lady Tar Heels) 18 points and thirteen helpers that led Washington to a surprising victory. Mystics Forward Monique Currie led that front line with 14 points and nine boards as the Sky just looked out of sync from Intermission on.

Sky Center Sylvia Fowles had a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds as she continues to play well and lead the Sky. Sky Sharpshooter Epiphany Prince chipped in with 18 points but only on 4 of 16 from the field. Sky Rook Star Elena Delle Donne was just 2 for 15 from the field and 2 for 4 from the Arc as she ended up with 12 points and a concussion. The Sky must get better guard play as teams are starting to key on them from outside in.

The Sky now head into All-Star Break leading the East by one game over the Atlanta Dream. The Mystics will also head into the break 3rd in the East and 3 1/2 games back of the Sky. The Minnesota Lynx lead the WNBA with a 14-3 record and led by Lindsay Whalen and Maya Moore as well as Seimone Augustus.
