The Arizona Cardinals have been wasting no time in trying to get better faster an they have used the NFL Free Agency Period to add some Quality Players as well as get rid of a Science Project here and there.

The Cards went after as expected former Steelers RB Shard Mendenhall (pictured right as an All-Big Ten and All-AMerican at the University of Illinois and now Steelers Cast Off) as he was drafted by the Steelers when current Cards Lead man Arians was the Steelers Offensive Coordinator. The Cards also fortify the most important part of any Franchise the Quarterback as they sign former Sparty QB Drew Stanton. He worked with Arians last Season as the Back Up to Colts Stud Rookie QB Andrew Luck. Others joining Red Zone were DB Jerraud Powers, Safety Yermiah Bell, and Backer Lorenzo Alexander.

Now with the Cards Good News comes bad News now for former Cards Players. Red Zone releases RB Beanie Wells and Cut WR Early Doucet. They also are expected to finally get rid of the Red Zone Science Project known as QB Kevin Kolb. Kolb had to hoping that his former Coach in Philly Andy Reid was hired here in the Off Season as that might have given him a shot. Kolb leaves Red Zone also knowing he got a Head Coach (Ken Whisenhunt) and  GM (Rod Graves) terminated as Kolb's Poor Play led to their demise.

Look for the Cards to go after at the #7 Pick in the 2013 Sunday Draft...Morgantown U's Geno "4 Heisman" Smith.
