The Dominican Team was loaded like no other in the World Baseball Classic which means absolutely nothing I mean look at the 2011 Dream Team that played at the Linc. They were loaded as well and all they did was eat Cheese Steaks and lose on every Sunday.

Just like the Jamaican Men's Track Team when they had the fastest Human Alive in Usain Bolts and the Jamaican Yellow Yam. Well the Dominicans and Reliever from the Rays...Fernando Rodney go Lucky Plantain (pictured left). Now what they did was sweep the World Baseball Classic and the first team to do that. They dominated with Pitching, Defense, and timely Hitting and in a nutshell that's exactly the Protocol for Teams that play in October in the Show. The Dominicans blanked Puerto Rico and their 3rd win vs the Puerto Ricans in the Classic. They just could not compete with all that Talent playing in the Show.

Team Dominican Skip Tony Pena, who was one of the best Back Stops in his time in  the show, fielded an All-Star Line Up which had high expectations and met all of them or even exceeded some of those expectations. Dominicans Top Players in the Tourney were as follows:

2B Robbie Cano Bronx Bombers (bottom right)
1B/DH Edwin Encarnacion 'Jays
RP Fernando Rodney Rays
2B Erick Aybar Halos (picture right middle)
SS Jose Reyes 'Jays (pictured top right)
3B Hanley Ramirez Boys in Blue
RHP Samuel Deduno Twin-kies
RHP Pedro Strop O's
3B Miggy Tejada Royals
RF Nelson Cruz Rangers

Absolutely loaded and they played all facets of the game leading up to their sparkling 8-0 record and the World Baseball Classic Championship.

Also the Dominicans had great Base Coaches in Former Big Time Big Leaugers in Juan Samuel (Phightin' Phils) and Alfredo Sauce Griffin (Jays/Dodgers).

Just watching Reyes and Encarnacion is a reason tom believe the Blue Jays will be a force on the junior Circuit and in the AL East.

Remember the Dominican Republic came in with a International Baseball Federation Record of #13....

Stand Up! Dominican Republic....2013 WBC Champs...now can we get a Cup of Joe in the Show Report 2K13.
