The Lakers find themselves in a good position depending on how you look at it. They lead the #9 Seed Utah Jazz by 1 1/2 games for the #8 seed. The Warriors at the same token have the #6 seed and they lead the #Rockets by just a 1/2 game. Both Teams have Winning Time Implications win or lose and this will be a playoff type atmosphere in Planet Oracle for this one.

The last time the Lakers were on the Floor they were letting an 18 point lead go to the Washington Wizards and then would eventually lose to then give Lakers Lead Man MDA Ammunition to throw the Lakers under the Short Bus. The Lakers must guard the Arc and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are lethal from Distance. Both NASHty and the BLAKEshow (Purple and Gold Edition) must be ready to defend and force those two Warrior Guards to put the Orange on the Hardwood. The Black Mamba needs to make Thompson or whomever is guarding him work defensively to no end.

M.W.P. and the "Earl of Staples" must make that young GSW Front Line pay and take it right to them. Both Harrison Barnes and Festus Ezeli are Rooks and this is Pressure in the Logo not March Madness. Can the Lakers Wings and Forwards make the GSW Wings and o pay will be the Game-Winning Question?

GSW's lone All-Star in 2012-13 D-Lee will almost certainly get his double-double and the Lakers must cut off everyone else Water and Electric. That includes the under-sized Workhorse of a Power Forward Carl Landry.

Dwight of Three Stripes has a decided edge but will the Lakers use him effectively as Tonight should be a steady diet of Inside and Out to the Big Fella. Dwight appears to have some of that explosiveness back and the Lakers need to make a concerted effort to get him the Orange as much as possible.

It's do or die for both as Seeds in the West are still up for grabs from #1 to #8 and we have a Photo Finish in the West with no Usain Bolt nor the Jamaican Yellow Yam in the building.
