The Louisville Basketball Program had a Sunday they will remember for three reasons as the Cards Women's Team upset Brittney Griner and Baylor. The Men beat the Duke Blue Devils in a game that was a little bit closer than the score indicated. Then the Horrific Leg Injury of Cards Sophomore Guard Kevin Ware.

The Lady Cards may have pulled off the biggest Upset in Tourney History in a long long time as they beat heavily favored All-American Brittney Griner and the Baylor Bears who were trying to repeat as National Champs. The Ville 82-81 over Baylor behind the lights out shooting of Slaughter and Schimmel Twins who combined 15-34 from the Arc derailed Baylor. The Lady Cards were 30 from the Arc and that beat Baylor on this night. The Lady Cards will now see the Lady Volunteers in the Elite 8. Baylor's Brittney Griner calls it a career as she nets 14 points and ten rebounds in her last outing as a Collegiate Student-Athlete.

The Louisville Men's Team had a rough go of it early but kicked into high gear midway through the 2nd frame to beat the Duke Blue Devils 85-63. The Game though was hard to digest after the horrific leg Injury of Cards Sophomore Kevin Ware. Ware attempted to block a Money Ball by a Duke Player and landed as normal as you could land only to find out he shattered his Tibia Bone right through his Leg. The Cards had to pull themselves together and it was extremely tough with just under 4 minutes to go in the 1st half.

The Cardinals eventually wore down the Cards and it was their Guard Play from the Best back Court in the Land...Russ Smith and Peyton Siva. They combined for 39 points, immense pressure on the Duke Guards, and a Red Pain in the Dukies backside all night. The Cards move forward to the Final 4  to face the West Regional Champs Wichita State Shockers.

To Kevin Ware and the Louisville Cardinals Family the Bluedude and Bluedude Sportstalk wishes you a Speedy Recovery and you will be back as strong as ever #5 from the 404 in Kentucky Red.
