"Kid Felix" of the Seattle Mariners inked a record 7-year $175 Million Deal not too long ago and what you think the #1 Pitcher in the Show is worth? Say...$200 Million and about $30 Million per as Felix's Deal is around $25 Million per....

The Detroit Tigers and RHP and Ace Justin Verlander have inked a Deal that would put him  at $180 Million and around $28 Million per season MLB Network is reporting. Not bad for a Pitcher who is worth every penny although that's too much pennies. The 2011 AL MVP and Cy Young Award Winner is all of that and is amongst the Top in all Key Categories from the Bump.

"Justin of Comerica" the Bluedude refers to him as will make $20 Million inn 2013 and '14 then that new Extension kicks in in 2015. The Numbers Verlander threw up last season for the Junior Circuit Champs:

17-8 (4th in AL) 2.64 ERA (2nd in AL) 239 Ks (1st in AL)...Numbers are Key as well as durability and Verlander covers all of those. With Justin, Miggy, and the Prince of the D in the Fold the Tigers have one more move to make and that is getting RHP Max Scherzer signed the #2 Arm in the Rotation.

One has to wonder what will 2012 AL Cy Young Winner LHP David Price of the Rays get in 2014 as his deal will be up as Verlander is $28 million per and Kid Felix is $25 million per...Ouch Rays! And there will be suitors as the rays have to be thinking "Loyalty" hopefully is a factor as Price is Home Grown from Vanderbilt to the Rays. Will he give the Rays a Homegrown "Loyalty" Discount?
