The Midwest Region is Top Heavy with at least three of the top four seeds with the capability of getting to Atlanta for the Final Four. The Cards of Louisville get the #1 Seed but the Committee puts them up against a top heavy field. Also Memphis, Cincy, Okalhoma State, and Mizzou are all capable of getting hot on moving deep in this region.

Midwest Region is sponsored by...Pitino will have his Boys (2013 Big East Tourney Champions) ready to go and they will be a tough out with Super Back Court of Smith and Siva.

MIDWEST REGION

1 L'Ville
16 NC AT/Liberty

Liberty will beat A&T in the March 19th play in and then they get walloped by the Cards. The Cards All-Big East Back Court of Siva and Smith are the key.

8 Colorado St
9 Mizzou

The Rams have not played anyone as dynamic at the points as Mizzou's Phil Pressey and they will get a handful of Coach Haith's Style and all those Athletes on the Wing for Mizzou. Mizzou easily bin this one.

5 OK State
12 Oregon

The Pac 12 Tourney Champs will have their toughest test yet as they will get Big 12 Freshman of the Year as well as All-Big 12 1st Teamer Marcus Smart (pictured right #33) and the Cowboys. Both teams like to run and this one is a pick'em as the Cowboys play real physical up front.

4 St Louis
13 New Mexico St

The Billikens won both the A-10 season outright and the A-10 Tourney and they are what they are. Fundamentally sound and will make you pay. The Aggies of NMSU are athletic and they have the 7'5" Big Fella Sim Bhullar in the Middle as he is a problem in the Set Offense. Look for the Billikens to up the Tempo to keep Bhullar from impacting the game.

6 Memphis
11 MTSU/St. Mary's CA

Tyhe Play in game will be won by St. Mary's and then they get the Memphis Tigers loaded with a few big Mac's as well as High-Octane Athletes. Tigers POG Joe Jackson will be a Problem for whom ever wins the play-in game.

3 Michigan St
14 VALPO

Valpo is good and they are a perennial Low-to-Mid Major that always makes noise about this time. The Spartans by this time of the year are on every ones "Do not want to Play List". Spartans will be ready for anything and anyone and go as far as PG Keith Appling takes them (pictured right #11).

7 Creighton
10 Cincy

One of the more intriguing match ups in the Opening Round as the Bearcats come from the Big East and the 'Jays have All-American SF Craig McDermott the Son of the Creighton Blue jays Head Coach. The Bearcats have to make it their pace and tempo and force Creighton to play Big East Style ball. I have Cincy advancing in a tough pick.

2 Duke
16 Albany

No Cinderella here but it was fun just getting into the Dance and playing the Kids you hear about and see on T.V. all season. Duke in this one but don't give Albany any though of they can play with Duke in the first five minutes or it could get interesting.

Advancing

1 L'Ville
9 Mizzou       1 L'Ville

5 OK St
13 NMSU      5 OK St               5 OK St

6 Memphis
3 Michigan St   3 Michigan St           3 Michigan St
10 Cincy
2 Duke           2 Duke                 3 Michigan State

The Spartans will advance as the Cowboys of Stillwater made it interesting as OK State's Marcus Smart was the best player in the Region but Izzone moves onto the 404 for a chance at another National Championship.
