SUNDAY TALK with a Sneak Peek look at EAGLES new Backer CONNER BARWIN...is he REAL or is he MIKE MAMULA?...plus BIRDS Free Agent Signings 2K13 #BirdBiz

The Philadelphia Eagles have some Cap Space an they have been spending it wisely on some of their new parts. The Eagles have made a big splash on the side of the pigskin that needed it the most and that is the Defensive Side. They have let go of names like CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha and have moved on quickly.

The Biggest Names in terms of Money was the signing of former Texans Backer and Cincinnati Bearcats Conner Barwin (pictured right at the NFL Combine as muscles can be misleading as well as workouts). Barwin was one of those Combine Super Heroes with all his Tests off the map in Indy. This Off season though the Texans Didn't value him and he walked. The Eagles jumped on Barwin for 6-years $36 million and did they overpay him as he looks like more like former Eagles Backer Mike Mamula than Seth Joyner. Barwin had 11.5 Red Jersey Collections in 2011 with Texans Star Backer Cushing and a Rookie DE names JJ Watt all over the field. Then in 2012 with no Cushing for most of the Season and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Watt creating havoc Barwin had only 3.5 Red Jersey Collections. Eagles Nation be careful of that word expectations on Barwin or you might be disappointed.

As far as other Eagles Signings they were a positive move in the right direction. The Eagles Current 2K13 FA Signings:

CB Cary Williams Ravens (pictured right)...another Talented Player who turned down $20 million from the #PURPLEbrowns before the start of the 2012 season.

SS Patrick Chung Pats ...injured too much in Foxboro ultimately led to his release but when healthy is as solid as they come.

CB Bradley Fletcher Rams...started four games in 2012 and is a solid corner as he will replace the #2 Eagles CB Rodgers-Cromartie

FS Kenny Phillips G-Men...Imagine that he comes over from the NY Football Giants and again like Chung injured a lot and the G-Men moved on with Younger Safety David Brown of the Maize and Blue. Phillips will make it personal when he meets the G-Men.

DL Isacc Sopoaga 49ers....an integral part of that Niners vaunted front along with DL JUstin Smith. He will bring much-needed size to an Eagles front that is predicated more on Speed.

WR Arrelious Benn Bucs...a talented player but again he was injured in Bucs Nation a lot and the eagles get them a more athletic Jasan Avant type.

TE James Casey Texans...they used him at H-Back and at TE as he will help the Eagles middle of the Field and is their most athletic Tight End. Just gives them another dimension off of current Eagles TE Celek.

Birds looking to make some noise in the NFC and NFC East with new lead man Chip Kelly....
