If anything the New York Yankees are scoreboard watching early in September and you cannot blame them. The Tampa Bay Rays with their own set of issues is chasing the AL Wild Card at 4.5 game out as having any shot at the AL East Crown in 2K15 is a forgone conclusion.

Rays starter Chris Archer (L, 12-11) had the Yanks shutout through five. He also had a 3-0 lead powered by a Kevin Kiemaier two-run Big Fly in the 2nd and  and a Logan Forsythe RBI single in the 3rd.  Yanks starter Ivan Nova (W, 6-7) kept his composure putting out the fire and going six allowing those three runs. He would get the win but not after some patented late-inning Yanks Magic.

Archer leading 3-0 in the 6th gives up a three-run bomb to Bob McCann (25th) and the Yanks tied it at 3-3. Then Alex Rodriguez took Archer deep for a solo blast (28th) and just like that Nova and the Yanks had the lead and he as on the hook for the "W"!

New York would add two more with a Rays HR mixed in by Asdrubal Cabrera as the Yanks would win 6-4 with Bombers Captain Save-A-Game Andrew Miller notching his 31st save. As we go to press the Yanks stay 1.5 games behind the AL East leading 'Jays moving to 76-59.

Look 'Jays Nation its going down to the Nuts and Bolts for the AL East Crown in 2K15...
