The Atlanta Falcons at least for a half looked liked the favorites to win the NFC South as they were all over the Philadelphia Eagles early and often. It was Falcons new lead man Dan Quinn and that Rise Up "D" that looked stunning making play after play and multiple hats getting to the Wilson Pigskin.

Atlanta jumped out in the 2nd frame putting up 17 unanswered on an Eagles "D" that was thought to be much-improved. Former L.O.B. Member and now Eagles CB Byron Maxwell had all sorts of trouble covering Rise Up's #1 Dude in WR Julio Jones of "Protect this House" Football as he finished with 141 yards on nine grabs and two scores. Maxwell shouldn't feel disappointed as Julio of the "Peach Drop 3" is Top 3 at WR in the Shield along with Antonio Brown and Dez Bryant.

Falcons QB Matty Ice Ryan went 23 for 34 and 298 yards and those two TD passes to Jones but also had two INTs that were huge. The Eagles "Pace" on offense picked up in the 2nd half and if there was five more minutes left in this one Team Chip Kelly would have left Atlanta victorious.

Eagles RBs DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews both scored TDs but didn't have huge games talking yards. That title belonged to Darren Sproles who rushed for 50 and had 76 yards receiving. Eagles QB Sam Bradford got hot late as he threw for 336 yards on 36 for 52 and a TD with two INTs.

It came down to that Falcons "D" making stops when it had to and Rise Up can also run the rock as Falcons Rookie 3rd rounder Tevin Coleman ran for 80 yards on twenty carries.

Looking ahead the Eagles get the rival Cowboys on the Sunday Week 2 "Late Slate" with the Falcons headed to Met Life Blue for a matinee with the G-Men...
