Former LSU All-American Offensive Guard and Pittsburgh Steelers 1998 1st round pick (#26th overall) Alan Faneca was nominated yesterday as a finalist for the Class of 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame. There are 103 Modern-Era Nominees total and Faneca deserves every bit of that attention.

The Steelers #66 was huge in the success of 2015 Steelers NFL HOF Inductee Jerome the "Bus" Bettis. Faneca and Chiefs NFL HOF and former Nebraska Cornhusker Will Shields were the most dominant Guards in the "Shield" in their time. Faneca also played for the N.Y. Jets and Arizona Cardinals before after 13 seasons calling it quits. A member of the Steelers All-Time Team let's checkout Faneca's impressive resume from 1998-2010.
