To characterize this series in one word you would have to say "Epic" for the Boys from Flushing Meadows. No the Bluedude isn't jumping on the Amazins' Wagon as I have been told if it looks like game and they play with game...well they have game!

The 2K15 New York Mets will remember this Three-Piece with NATitude going Appetizer as the "Series that gave us the NL East"!  Mets starter Jacob deGrom looking like Ron Darling sealed the deal out pitching his counterpart Stephen Starsburg but not without some late frame help.

With the Nats up 2-1 heading into the 8th everything looked solid for both the Nats and Strasburg. Then "Stras" got behind Mets Lead-Off Man in the 8th Kelly Johnson 2-0 and the 3rd delivery was deposited into the right field seats for a 2-2 tie. Nats going for it went to Drew Storen after that and Yoenis Cespedes takes him yard for a two-run blast and when it rains it pours as the Amazins' went up 4-2.

New York wasn't out of the woods just yet when Nats star OF "Bam 34" dba Bryce Harper took Tyler Clippard deep for a solo blast cutting that 4-2 deficit to 4-3. The Mets though in the 9th would get an RBI single from Michael Conforto and that sealed the deal as Amazins' Captain Save-A-Game Jeurys Familia grabs Save #39 and the NL East Race is a done deal!

Mets move to 78-61 while the Nats going backwards falls to 71-68...

Jacob deGrom moves to 13-7 while Strasburg falls to 8-7...
