It was too much Freshman Kelly Oubre Jr. and Sophomore Wayne Selden Jr. for the Jayhawks as they pay back the Cyclones for an earlier defeat 89-76 in Phog Allen the house that Dr. Naismith and Wilt 20K built.

KU was up 35-28 at the break as Oubre Jr. led the Jayhawks with 10 points including two money bals, as he and KU Sharpshooter Brannen Greene hit the Cyclones from deep. The Cyclones Stars Georges Niang also had 10 points as he hit a money ball as well showing NBA Scouts his versatility.

Then in the 2nd half Iowa State went cold as the Jayhawks mixed it up from the lay-up line to Wayne Selden Jr. going money ball crazy as he hits tow from deep mixed in with a "J" and KU led 49-34 at the at the 15 minute mark. The Cyclones trying to make a run was down 54-45 at the ten minute mark and KU blew the doors off Iowa State after that.

The Jayhawks go onto win 89-76 as Selden Jr. led with 20 points and Oubre Jr. 16 points and five boards as they combine to go 7 for 13 from deep as KU shoots 10 for 21 from deep for the night. KU's leading man Junior Perry Ellis added 17 points and grabbed six boards.

Iowa State All-American Candidate Georges Niang led all scorers with 24 points and six boards going 3 for 5 from deep. The Cyclones shot just 7 for 21 from the arc and takeaway Niang's 3 for 5 that would be 4 for 16 for the rest of the club.
