Then Arizona Wildcats always hangs their hats on "D" playing Sean Miller Ball. If you beat the 'Cats you will have to grind it out. Well the in-state rival Sun Devils controlled "Pace" and that "Pace" led them to a 81-78 upset of the then #6 'Cats scoring some 81 points speeding up Arizona to 3rd and 4th gear while they love playing in 2nd gear doing 30 mph through Tucson.

The Sun Devils were up 41-34 at the break as the game in the 2nd half was nip and tuck. 'Zona PG and unquestioned leader TJ McConnell led the 'Cats with a game-high 25 points kept the 'Cats close. Freshman sensation Stanley "the STAN-imal" Johnson added 16 points as 'Zona shot just 45% from the field and 37% from the arc while under 60% from the stripe.

The Sun Devils doubled the attempts from the stripe at 28 while making 22 of 28 with 'Zona making 8 of 14 and that was a +14 in the Sun Devils favor. Couple all of that with Guard Bo Barnes leading the way with 18 off the bench and three starters in double figures A.S.U. created the "Perfect Storm" to up end the 'Cats 81-78 as McConnell his a money ball at the buzzer making it look a little closer than what it was.

Sun Devils move to to 12-11 and just 4-6 in the PAC 12 while Arizona falls to 20-3 and 8-2 in the PAC 12 as they still have a shot at a #1 seed in the Tourney.
