The Chicago Blackhawks needed this one for more reason then one and they go "Fight for Lord Stanley" on the Florida Panthers for a cool and easy 3-0 "W". Everything on this night went according to plans as Hawks net minder Corey Crawford exercising some of his own demons stopped all 20 SOG he faced.

Hawks Rook and Finland's Center Tuevo Teravainen got things cooking for the Indian Head as he "Lights the Lamp" just over three minutes into the game making it 1-0 Hawks. He was just called up from Rockford and if the young fella can get going he takes immense pressure off Captain Serious and others moving forward.

Brandon Saad scores his 19th three minutes into frame #2 as the Hawks went up 2-0 with the "D" and Craw-Dad in net on the same page it felt like and looked like the Hawks were skating with 10 at all times.

Captain Serious rolls the "Credits" on Florida Hockey as he gets an Empty Net Goal and for a top-flight two-way 5-Star Center sometimes the Ice Games Gods reward you with an easy points here and there and #19 works harder than any Center in the NHL...believe that! Panthers net minder Roberto Luongo stopped 26 of 28 SOG as he may need to sit every time the Indian Head plays Florida and if he is scheduled to be in the blue-paint!

Hawks low-light was 0-4 on the power play but they move to 37-20-5 with 79 points just three points behind the 2nd place Blue Notes. No time to rest as the Hawks get the Bolts of Tampa Friday Night on the 2nd leg of a back to back motel swing.
