The Washington Wizards came out about as hot as it was in Vegas (101 degrees F on Tuesday) only for the Heat to stay the course an make it a ball game late. The Wiz Kids D.C. led 32-14 with Bloodline Glen Rice Jr. leading the way with 16 and Otto Porter Jr. with seven of those Thirty-Two 1st frame points. Rice was on fire hitting two from deep as the Heat was completely out of sync.
The Heat after that got it going behind Forward James Nunnally from the UCSB Gauchos. "Nun" had a team-high 22 points on a slick 7 for 9 from the field and 4 of 5 from the Mirage. Tyler Johnson of Fresno State added 17 points for the Heat as they got within 82-78 right under two minutes remaining but could not close the deal. Shabazz Napier was just 2 for 16 from the field and 1 for 8 from the Arc with 8 points.
The Wizards win 85-83 as Rice Jr has a game-high 24 points with seven Oranges. Otto Porter Jr. adds 19 points and also grabbed seven Oranges. The Wiz Kids D.C. moves to 3-0 in Vegas while the Heat falls to 1-4.
