The WNBA All-Star Weekend from the "Valley of the Sun" Phoenix, Arizona concluded with arguably the best All-Star game in its 17 year history. The east in an Extra Frame gets by the West 125-124 in dramatic fashion.

The game saw former Louisville Lady Cardinals Star now Atlanta Dream PG Shoni "Showtime" Schimmel lead the East with a All-Star game Record and high 29 points. She breaks the previous scoring record held by the Sparks Candace Parker who had 23 points in the 2013 All-Star game. It was the West led by 27 points from Tulsa Shock and former ND Irish Star Skylar Diggins with 27 points and West Teammate Maya Moore with 24 points dba the First lady of Jordan Brand.

It was perennial Indian Fever All-Star Tamika Cathcings with the game-winning Lay-Up and then she saves the game by swiping the ball from Diggins as "Catch" is known as the best defender ever in WNBA Hoops. Joining WNBA All-Star Game M.V.P. "Showtime" Schimmel was UConn's Tina Charles (19 pts), Purdue's Katie Douglas (15 pts), and Louisville's Angel McCoughtry (13 pts 7 rebs).            Brittney Griner added 17 points and Temple's Candace Dupree 12 points.
