Brandon McCarthy is no savior but since he has put on the Pinstripes he has answered the bell at every rip. The Yanks finish taking three of four from the Texas Rangers with McCarthy dealing again.  Throw in some timely hitting from the Bombers and they stay relevant in the AL East Race as we get close to meaningful August Hardball!

The Rangers though trying to even the series scored first in the Top Half of the 3rd Inning on an Elvus Andrus run-scoring single to make it 1-0. That would be the only lead Texas would have on the day. The Yanks come right back in the 4th as that man Chase Headley who looks like he been in Pinstripes from his 1st call to the show singles home Brett Gardner tying the game at 1-1.

The Bombers than get it going again in the 5th off of a Francisco Cervelli run-scoring Two-Bagger scoring Ichiro and a Gardner Sac-Fly to make it 3-1 Yanks. Rangers D.H. J.P. Arencibia takes Yanks Reliever Adam Warren for a Solo Shot in the 7th tightening things up at 3-2 Yanks. The Pinstripes then get some much-needed insurance in the 8th on a Brian McCann run-scoring Double scoring Carlos Beltran for a final score of 4-2 Yanks.

Yankees move to 53-48 tied with the 'Jays for 2nd in the AL East. The Rangers fall to an AL Worst 40-62...
