Dodgers Starter Dan Haren started off 2014 relatively strong and in his last six starts he has been awful to say the least. The Pirates took note and jumped all over Haren for four runs in the first as the Dodger never recovered. Josh Harrison's (looking like 70s Bucs Hot Corner Bill "Mad Dog" Madlock reincarnated with the same jersey #5) Two-Bagger was the big blow in Inning One as that capped the four-run first inning with both Neil Walker and Russell Martin scoring. Haren's Tab...5 IP 4 H 5 R 5 ER 3 BB 6 SO HR. That bomb came off the Ash, Maple, or Bamboo from Bucs LF Dan Snider a Solo "Tater" in the 2nd to push the score to 5-0 Bucs.

Bucs Starter Francisco Liriano needed Run Support as he was just 1-7 coming into tonight's action. He was superb going seven allowing just one run on four hits as he walked two and struck out four. Matt Kemp of Dodger Blue had the only Dodger RBI with Juan Uribe the only Dodger with at least two hits. Snider led the Bucs going 2 for 3 scoring three runs.

Pirates 54-47 making a strong push since the Calender struck June is tied with the Redbirds for 2nd place and just 2.5 games back of the NL Central leading Beer Makers! The Dodgers fall two games back of the San Fran Giants in the NL West at 56-47 as they need Hanley and Yasiel in the worst way!
