The Chicago Bulls played well in the Vegas 2014 NBA Summer League as all their Roster Players played well and took the lead as expected. A 4-1 Win/Loss Record looks good but all that good work was lost in a 80-61 loss to Forever Purple as Bulls Top 2014 Pick Doug "McBUCKETS" McDermott was sidelined in the game with foot ailment. That unfortunately spelled gloom and doom for See red as they went down early.

Evaluating the Top Bulls Players in the 2014 Vegas Summer League:

Tony Snell 2G/SF 2nd-Year New Mexico Lobos

He cut the Corn Rows and went to work New and Improved as he led See Red with a gaudy 20 ppg 4 rpg and shooting .466% FG. Snell played 16 minutes per for See Red in he 2013-14 seasons and his improvement in the summer means nothing if he cannot do it vs the Ones! Snell is a defensive-Stopper with his athleticism and length and that has not changed. His Offense though is a welcomed addition of course.

Doug "McBuckets" McDermott SF Creighton Blue Jays

Folks had high expectations for "Everybody's All-American" and he did not disappoint showing an array of moves off the bounce and shooting from the Circus Circus and other Vegas Motels and Hotels. He averaged 18 ppg 4 rpg .442% FG and if anything he looks to be a lock to get into that Top 10 Rotation as he is expected to score the Orange. He will be an instant Bulls Nation Fan Favorite but can he produce vs the ones remains to be seen.

Cameron Bairstow PF/C New Mexico Lobos

Bairstow showed why the Bulls selected him as he has Coach Thibs Clone written all over him. At 10.2 ppg 7 rpg and a big body who can rebound and defend already in the NBA Paint and that is a huge plus for him trying to get minutes vs the ones. His Blue-Collar Work Ethic is 2nd to none and the Aussie-Born Lobo has a nice Basketball IQ. He should fir tight in playing with Jo All-Star, the Spaniard, the TAJ-manian Devil, and the Spanish/Montenegro Nikola Mirotic.

Lazeric Jones PG UCLA/Simeon Career Academy

Jones played well at the Lead Guard Slot as he knew the Bulls Offense as he was a his Teammate of one Derrick Rose and all that helped his seamless Transition to running the See Red Offense. At 10.8 ppg 4.6 apg and his ability to hit the open "J", get to the rim, and knock down the Money Ball served him well. He will get along look as the Bulls just picked up Rockets 2007 1st Round Pick and Journeyman PG Aaron Brooks.

Others worth noting

PF/C Lance Thomas Duke 7.6 ppg 4.2 rpg
SG Austin Freeman G'Town 6.8 ppg 2.8 rpg
