If you would have told me before the game that the Redbirds would hang a crooked three on Clayton Kershaw I would have told you St. Louis gets the sweep. That Dodgers Offense at times looks inept and from what I have seen in the first two games (Redbird Wins) the Dodgers had to reach back on Sunday Night for all MLB Heads to see.
The Dodgers fittingly enough wait until the 9th as Adrian Gonzalez strikes with the go-ahead RBI Single to beat the Cards 4-3 as Kershaw gets a No-Decision going seven allowing three runs on six hits. The Redbirds CF Peter Bourjos (former Halos Top Prospect) took Kershaw deep in the 6th to even the score at 3-3. Cards Starter Carlos Martinez was touched up through four giving up three runs on six hits. The Dodgers scattered eleven hits as Dee Gordon, Matt Kemp, Juan Uribe, and Andre Ethier all had multi-hits games. Dodgers Captain Save-A-Game Kenley Jansen gets his 28th Save of 2014 for Dodger Blue!
The Dodgers escape the sweep and still didn't exercise those Redbirds Demons as they move to 55-45 and a tie for 1st place in the NL West. The Redbirds fall to 54-45 as they are also in a tie for first with the Brewers.
