The Cincinnati Reds come out of All-Star Break and have hit a wall called the New York Yankees. It's just two of 162 but the Reds like the Yanks are in a fight for the division. Yanks Starter Brandon McCarthy watched closely last night how Starter David Phelps attacked that Cincy line Up and ditto.

McCarthy goes six strong allowing six hits and one run as he struck out nine and gave out not a one free pass. He had plenty of Run Support as the Yanks Ageless One and #RedOctober 2013 Hero  Carlos Beltran started it off taking Reds Starter Alfredo Simon Yard for a Solo Job to make it 1-0 Yanks. Simon coming in at 12-4 just didn't have his "Stuff" going five innings giving up four and striking out four. The Bombers leading 2-0 put crooked numbers up in the 5th and 6th frames as the Reds could only muster a Solo Bomb by LF Chris Heisey in the 5th. The Bombers go onto win 7-1 as the Reds try to avoid the sweep on Sunday.

The Yanks move to 49-47 just 3.5 games back of the O's who are out west facing the A's and Halos in six straight. The Reds fall to 51-46 and three back of the Brew Crew in the Central.
