The Kansas City Royals get back to that magic number the .500 mark as they take the "Rubber Game" vs the South Siders. Both Starters James Shields for K.C. and Carlos Quintana for the South Siders were on their A-Game. Shields goes seven allowing one run on six hits as he struck out seven. Quintana went seven giving up a run on seven hits as he struck out three.

Both the Royals and Pale Hose scored in the 1st as Eric Hosmer Sac-Fly scored Lorenzo Cain making it 1-1 Royals. The Pale Hose get a Adam Dunn single scoring Jose Abreu tying the game at 1-1 as that score held up all the way to the top half of the 9th. After a Moustakas Single and a Sac Bunt the Royals Nori Aoki singles off Pale Hose Reliever Zach Putnam as Moustakas scores making it 2-1 Royals. Then Royals Captain Save-A-Game Greg Putnam gets his 26th save of 2014.

Royals still right in the middle of the AL Central Race just 6.5 games back of the Motor City Kitties. The Pale Hose fall to 48-54 and that is 9.5 games back of the Tigers. Alex Gordon went 3 for 3 for K.C. as White Sox Back Stop Tyler Flowers was 3 for 3...
