The 2014 Logo Watch "Vegas Nights" Championship was Monday Night as the Sacramento Kings dba #ForeverPurple took on the Houston Rockets dba #RedNation. The night though belonged to Detroit-Mercy University's Ray McCallum Jr. of Forever Purple as he went in on the Clutch City Super-Summer Back Court of Murray State's Isaiah "Fire the Canaan" and U of A Tucson's Nick "Pogo Stick" Johnson.

McCallum Jr. went for a game-high 29 points on a sizzling 9 of 15 from the field and 8 of 9 from the stripe. Dad, Ray McCallum Sr., the Head Coach of Detroit-Mercy who also was the Lead Man at fittingly enough the University of Houston for the Cougars taught son well as he plays the Point to a Textbook. 2014 Kings Lottery Pick Nick Stauskas added 10 points as just three Kings were in double figures.

The Rockets "Big Three" of Canaan (15 pts 6 asst), Johnson (17 pts 6 rebs), and Lithiuanian "Big" Donatas Motiejunas (16 pts 6 rebs) had productive nights and with these numbers would have beat anyone but the defensive-minded Kings on this night. Horrible shooting from the Field and Arc spelled gloom and doom for Red Nation. Both Canaan and Nick Johnson are keepers for the 2014-15 season as they displayed some 82-Game Trek Talent. Motiejunas was the best "Big" in Vegas as he pulls up a seat behind "Dwight of Three Stripes" looking for more minutes as Omer Asik is gone to Team State Bird of Louisiana.
