This will have a Gold Medal-like Intensity and both Teams are all too familiar with one another especially the headliners. Team USA will march into Game #2 in Group A Play vs the home Team the Russians as both Teams come in 1-0.

The Americans are loaded with an abundance of young talent mixed with some middle-aged Vets. They will need every ounce of that vs Team Russia who boasts forwards like thew Wings Pavel Datsyuk, the Pens Geno Malkin, and the Caps Alexander Ovechkin. Enough of that as that Russian "D" needs to worry about the Plethora of Goal Scorers wearing Blue, Red and White for Team #DawnsEarlyLight. The Russians do have Blue Jackets Sergei Brobovsky in Net as he led Ice Games in G.A.A. in the 2012-13 season playing for Columbus.

The Americans might go with Net Minder Jonathan Quick in his first Olympic Game he stifled the Slovaks 7-1 saving 22/23 shots on net. Pens and US Lead Man Dan Bylsma might go with the "Sabes" Ryan Miller or the "Wings" Jimmy Howard as we will see he shortly. The Key will be if the AMericans can pressure that Russian "D" and get as many Frozen Ones to the Net as possible. Another Key is taming those Russian 5-Star Fools like Ovi, Pavel and Geno as they "Dare to be Great".

The U.S. has plenty of Firepower and if the Russians have a hole or two in the Armor or want to turn it over and play careless at their Blue Line it will be a long day for Russian Hockey.

Puck drops at 730pm ET as Doc, Eddie, and Pierre will be on the call....
