The 'Heels win their 8th straight but what they have now is a solid rotation and everyone knowing what's expected of them. UNC had a lot of moving parts earlier in the seasons and now they look the part and is playing the part.
The UNC Back Court of Super Soph PG Marcus Paige and Senior Leslie McDonald led the 'Heels to the Winner's Circle on this night. They combined to shoot 14 of 22 from the field as McDonald had a game-high 21 points and Paige 13. Junior All-ACC Candidate James Michael McAdoo went double double with 10 points as he grabbed ten Oranges. Carolina used a spurt late that separated them from the Dukies with "Stops" and excellent play-making from Paige.
Duke gets 17 points and eleven boards from Freshman and Wooden All-American Candidate Jabari Parker. Rodney Hood added 16 while Junior PG Quinn Cook chipped in with 17. The Dukies had everything under control until late. Neither Team shot the Orange well as Duke's Week gets a lot tougher hosting the 'Cuse this Saturday.
UNC moves to 19-7 and 9-4 in the ACC. Duke falls to 21-6 and 10-4 in the ACC as the Wahoos of UVA lead the ACC at 13-1 and the Orange of Syracuse is 2nd at 12-1.
