The Eastern Conference unlike the Western Conference is bottom-heavy with bottom feeders. The Pacers and Heat both are double-digits ahead of the pack with the pack having no hope. The Battle will be for the 3rd through 8th slot as only 5.5 game separate the heap. Both the Bulls and Brooklyn Nets have come on in 2014 to make things a little bit more interesting. Can anyone of these Teams scare the Pacers or Heat as the Bulls (Defense) and Nets (Veteran Prowess) may have a little something to put up a good fight.

EAST Standings (Top 10 that have a shot) as we come out of All-Star Break

TOP TIER

1. GOLD Swagger (40-12)...they have what it takes after going seven versus the Heat in last year's ECF. PG-24 has emerged as the Star in Pacer Nation but they have pieces everywhere including Lance Stephenson, "Area 55", D-West, George Hill, and now Andrew Bynum....lookout Heat! It wouldn't be going out on a limb to say the Pacers are the East Favorite.

2. WHITE Hot (37-14)...They have stayed close to Indy watching their every move as the Heat try an position themselves to make a run at a Three-Peat. Injuries will play a huge factor and how healthy will Wade County be in Winning Time? Do the Heat have to make one more move to solidify the group?

2nd TIER

3. DINOSAURS (28-24)...Yeah..move over Leafs you have a little bit of Company from that other tenant in the Big Boeing 777 the Air Canada Center. The Raptors are right there and with All-Star SG DeMar DeRozan and Point God Kyle Lowry doing their thing they could be a semi-threat in the 2nd round. The Raptors are building something and next yera they will be even better as Team Ujiri is making big moves!

4. WEST SIDE Story Report (27-25)...The pick-up of the 2013-14 NBA Season might be the Bulls picking up former Lottery Pick from the Bobcats PG D.J. Augustin as he has given the Bulls a Lead Guard who can get his own and create for others. Having said that the Bulls will give the Pacers or Heat a scare the way they play "D" and get after it. The question remains will See Red even get a shit at either one in Winning Time?

5. HIGHLIGHT Factory 404 (25-26)...they have been a pleasant surprise in the 2013-14 season but now the loss of All-Star PF Al Horford has caught up to them. Look for the Hawks to even slow more as the season moves into March and April as All-Star Paul Milsap cannot carry the front court all by his lonesome. Jeff Teague your moving into Point God Status make a move in the 2nd half as you and Milsap go...the Hawks go!

6. D.C. Wizardry (25-27)...They have been bouncing all season long around that .500 mark. Point God and All-Star John Wall (Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!) with that New ATL Dance after winning the Dunk Contest along with SG Bradley Beal is the Future. Can the Wiz make a serious run in the East in the 2nd half?

7. BK Nets (24-7)....come on now a 14-6 run in 2014 is worth putting the Nets back into the Mix with all that Veteran Firepower. S Dot Livingston has come on and now they need  Deron Williams to be Deron Williams and they will have an electric back court. If the Nets stay in Seeds 7 or 8 imagine that 1st round series with the Heat or Pacers....Yikes!

Bottom Feeders STILL BREATHING!

8. mikeCATS (23-30)...Something tells me they will come on strong and get into Winning Time just in time to get those New Duds for 2014-15 and "Hive Drive" will be back in full effect! FOr the love of the Charlotte Coliseum, Rex Chapman, Kelly Tripucka, Mugsy Bogues, Kendall Gill, Dell Curry, 'ZO Mourning, and L.J. aka Grand Ma Ma of "Converse React Juice" Fame ...bring back Team Teal with Pinstripes and the Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz on the loud speakers!

9. MOTOR City Hoops (22-30)...not all is lost as the Pistons with that current roster can put a 5-piece together and move right into the middle of the pack. Will PF Greg Monroe be on the move before the NBA Trade Deadline?

10. KNICKS Tape (20-32)...The 'Bully" has to be thinking we have to make Winning Time for the "Love of NYC", New MSG, Knicks Dancers, and Mr. Bigs "State of Mind"...James Dolan!

11. @CavsDAN Team (20-33)....they are alive and believe it or not have the longest active Win Streak heading into All-STar Break at four games. Can the Cavs overcome all what is going on with Kyrie looking out for Kyrie, Dion looking out for Dion, no Leaders, GM Fired, and Mike Brown trying not to get on Shaqtin' A Fool as in, " How did I get fired twice..at the same Gig"? That in itself has to be an NBA Trivia!
