The Cincinnati Reds took care of one of their own and it didn't surprise many who they extended taking away a Duffel Bag or three. Reds extend RHP Homer Bailey through numerous media outlets on a six-year $105 million contract to keep him playing Home Games on the Ohio River until 2020. The deal reportedly has a 7th year option with a buyout clause of course.

A career 49-45 as a Starter has nights where he can be dominant with two No-Hitters one happening each of the last two season. A 4.25 ERA and has been with the Reds since 2007 Bailey is a Front line Starter and led the Senior Circuit in Innings Pitched in 2012. Now he turns 27 and they get him a deal done to avoid arbitration and now he won;t be a Free Agent until he is 34...do the math.

Bailey will join Mat Latos, Johnny Cueto, Mike Leake, and Tony Cingrani. Bailey is 3rd in that rotations as the Red Legs boast the 2nd best Starting Pitching in the NL Central behind the defending NL Pennant Winning Redbirds.
