The Baltimore Orioles relatively quiet through the Winter Meetings have struck gold in the last week. They first sign ex-Tribe and Rockies RHP Ubaldo Jiminez and now through numerous Media Outlets they get ex-Rangers OF Nelson Cruz. The deal reportedly to be for 12 months and $8 million and that is a bargain basement price for an OF who needs to prove himself all over again after the 2013 PED Suspension.
Now the O's will boast a line-up that has CF "Adam Bombs" Jones, First Baseman "Crush" Davis, and now Mr. Cruz and that should be a nice 1-2-3 punch for the O's in 2014. In 2013 Cruz hit .276 in just 109 games and 413 A.B.'s with 27 bombs and 76 RBI.
King James reportedly skips Morning Saturday Shoot Around as the Heat prepare for the Bulls on Sunday. James broke his nose on Thursday Night in Thunder Alley last in the 4th after netting 33 points and grabbing seven boards. He will be a game-time decision and folks he will play and why not at 6'8" north of 280 lbs...yes I said north of 280 el bees!
NY Giants looking to transition and make major changers will reportedly let DT Justin Tuck and WR Hakeem Nicks test Free Agency. Tucks still has a coupe of good years left in him and he will be coveted semi-heavily one would think. Nicks just needs to get over his Injuries as he has yet to make it through s full season as the Talent is not in question. Will the G-Men let both walk or are they gauging what the Market is for both before getting in to any kind of Contract Talks?
