The Memphis Grizzlies jumped out and put the Wiz Kids D.C into the Grit and Grind Formula and to the Wizards Credit they fought and fought and made it go down to a John Wall missed "J" as the clock hit zeroes!

The Grizz out just 24-23 after one took a 52-39 lead into the break with things seemingly in hand. The night would have been over for the old Wiz but this is the new Wiz led by All-Star PG John Wall and surrounded by some hoopers. Wiz Sniper Bradley Beal showed and proved why he is on that 28-Man Team USA Select Bunch as he goes AWOL with 37 big ones on one of the better defensive teams in the Logo. Beal 15 of 24 and 5 for 7 from deep was in a zone he can get too often playing with that "One-Man Fast Break" in Wiz PG John Wall. Ne Ne added 17 with Gortat and Ariza chipping in with 10 each. Wall only had 5 and 5 as he missed the potential game-tying "J" to send the contest into Extras.

The Grizz making some noise in the Southwest and the Western Conference had a balanced attack as Marc Gasol (18 pts 7 rebs) and Nick Calathes (18 pts 7 rebs 6 asst) carried Grit & Grind and the Dry Rub. Calathes filling in for Grizz Top-Shelf PG Mike Conley Jr. had been more than your average Joe running the point. Z-Bo added 13 and 10 and with both James Johnson and Courtney Lee chipped in with 10 apiece. The Grizz sealed the deal with a marinated and smoked 23 for 27 from the Stripe. Controlling Wall was the key as they let Beal out for Recess and now the Grizz know next time.

Memphis trying to move up in the West moves to 28-23 which is two games behind the Mavs. The Wiz Kids D.C. fall to 25-26 an that is #6 in the East as Teams 4 through 9 are separated by just four games...Wow!
