The Oakland Athletics are in a tight race as the AL West is for sure a two-trick pony as it's the Rangers and Athletics. The Tribe is chasing the Detroit Tigers in the Central but are staying closer to reality in chasing the AL Wild Card. Both Starters didn't last in this one as the Athletics win a wild one 7-3.

Tribe Starter Scott Kazmir was chased after just five innings as he gave up five runs on ten hits as he walked two and struck out five. The Two Bombs he gave up were Solo Shots but it was the A's Chris Young and Josh Donaldson who did the damage on the Indians. Young was 2 for 4 with two ribbies and a run scored with that Solo Bomb. Donaldson was 2 for 5 but that led to three ribbies.

Athletics Starter Tommy Vilone didn't fare too well either as he went 4 2/3 innings allowing three runs on six hits as he walked one and struck out five. He also gave up a Solo Shot to Tribe RF Ryan Raburn. The Tribe had their chances but couldn't do anything versus the A's Pen.

The A's trail the Rangers by a 1/2 game in thew AL West and they are #2 in the Wild Card behind the Rays. The Tribe is seven back of the Tigers in the AL Central and 4.5 games out of AL Wild Card #2.
