The L.A. Dodgers are hot and LHP Clayton Kershaw maybe even hotter. The Dodgers take three of flour from the Fightin' Fish well let's say Miami Marlins as the Fight has left Dade County. Today the Dodgers shutout the Fish on "Get Away" 6-0 as Dodgers Ace Kershaw inches closer to that 2nd NL Cy Young Award with teammate Zack Greinke in a close 2nd.

Kershaw went eight allowing no Ducks to cross the dish with five hits and six strikeouts as he handed out three free passes. If there is a glitch in the Dodgers Ace it's his tendency to be too fine with his pitches and walk folks. The Dodgers Offense was led by Lead-Off Man Carl Crawford who was just 1 for 5 but had two RBI's. The 3-4-5 Hole for the Dodgers (A-Gon, the Cuban Missile, and Ethier) went a combined 4 for 12 with three runs scored and an RBI. The Marlins Starter Henderson Alvarez was touched up for five runs through seven.

The Dodgers now lead the NL West by 9 1/2 games and are just 2 1/2 game off the best record in the Show held by the Braves. The Marlin highlight for the week was the Heat's King James stopping through to catch a Marlins Game to see the Dodgers...go figure!
