The Pittsbugh Steelers make a surprise move and that call had to be even more surprising to one Jonathan Dwyer. As the Steelers make their cuts down to the 53-man roster they cut 2012 leading rusher Jonathan Dwyer. That is big news in Steelers Camp considering he looked maybe to be the Starter in Week 1 vs the Titans at Heinz Field.

Dwyer gained 623 yards on 156 attempts in 2012 scoring two TD's. The Running Back by committee with Dwyer, Isaaac Redman, then Steelers Rook RB Chris Rainey, and now Bird Gang RB  and former Steelers 1st Rounder Rashard Mendenhall was working at least for 2012. The Steelers knew they had to get a fast back or fast backs for their new Zone-Blocking Scheme and Dwyer was as fleet-footed as Stephens-Howling, Red Dawg Redman, newly-acquired Felix Jones, and 2013 2nd rounder Le'veon Bell. As for JYD getting on with someone else it would be real tough considering the finals cuts are going on as we speak down to that 53.

The 2010 6th rounder out of Georgia Tech Dwyer battled weight issues early on but came into the 2013 Camp as light as he has ever been to his credit. The System is what tanked Dwyer it wasn't the weight issues or work ethic. Steelers need some stability at Running Back ASAP or the whole thing might blow up!
